Brief
To educate and encourage students to purchase and eat UK seasonal fruit and vegetables, to reduce unnecessary air miles and carbon emissions.
Solution
The Poundchop consists of four key parts. An awareness campaign, consisting of posters and an online presence. A portable cart serving as an information hub on eating sustainably. A cooking event ran by students with participants bringing £1 to cook, and eat the meal together, and a labelling system to be introduced to produce sellers as an indicator of how harmful a particular product is to the environment.
